about the authors

Lindy Wheeler

Following a successful career in IT sales and marketing Lindy retrained as a counsellor, qualifying in 2001. This change of career was partly triggered by Lindy’s own experience of post-natal depression and acute anxiety, and partly by her lifelong interest in humans and what makes them tick.

Lindy has a thriving private practice in Bury St Edmunds where she works with children, adults, and families and provides clinical supervision for both qualified and trainee counsellors. She also runs regular Human Toolbox Practitioner Training Courses and Workplace Wellbeing seminars.

In 2007 Lindy became Accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and in 2014 she was invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts for her innovative work with Children and Young People.
